Delhi-Meerut RRTS:
Since its inauguration in October 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remotely launched the 17-kilometer-long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor from Duhai to Modi Nagar North on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
This corridor is one of three rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the RapidX project by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Known as the Delhi-Meerut RRTS or Rapid Rail, it is an 82.15-kilometer-long semi-high-speed rail and regional rail corridor linking the cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut in the National Capital Region (NCR).
According to an official from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), quoted by news agency PTI, the inauguration of the additional 17-km section will extend Namo Bharat services seamlessly along 34 km of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, spanning eight stations from Sahibabad to Modinagar North.

The RRTS spans a total length of 82.15 km, encompassing both elevated and underground sections. It consists of 22 stations, facilitating connectivity between Delhi and Meerut. Running parallel to National Highway 24, it intersects with the Delhi Metro at key stations such as Nizamuddin/Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar, and Ghaziabad.

- NCMC-Compliant Cards: Purchase tickets using NCMC-compliant cards from ticket counters at stations.
- Credit/Debit Cards, Prepaid Cards, Cash: Use credit, debit, or prepaid cards, as well as cash, at ticket vending machines (TVMs) for immediate ticket issuance.
- Paper Code QR Journey Tickets: Obtain journey tickets with paper code QR directly from TVMs or station ticket counters.
Ticket vending machines are conveniently placed across several stations including Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, and Duhai, ensuring accessibility for passengers.
Additionally, passengers are allowed to carry luggage weighing up to 25 kg, with size limits of 80 cm in length, 50 cm in width, and 30 cm in height, making it convenient for those traveling with personal baggage.
Ticket Fare Prices for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS
The ticket prices for the Delhi-Meerut RRTS vary depending on the length of the journey and the class chosen, distinguishing between standard and premium classes. For instance, ticket prices between stations like Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot range from Rs 20 to Rs 50 for standard class and Rs 40 to Rs 100 for premium class.
